Dr. Deedreea E. “Dee” Rich continues to welcome new patients to her practice of cosmetic, general, and reconstructive dentistry, long established in Newport Beach. A graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, she brings to our practice a unique background, having also received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Loma Linda University (taking 1st place in Scientific Clinics), and having attended their Master of Dental Public Health Graduate School. There she acquired strong preventive dental health skills that drive her perspective for long lasting dentistry. While teaching at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine she developed a Dental Health Education program that culminated in her decision to attend USC Dental School. Her special emphasis on gentle dentistry and personal care in an unrushed environment is always focused on the needs and concerns of the apprehensive patient.

Dr. Rich is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Society for Preventive Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Sleep Disorder Dental Society, the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, among others. She lectures on the subject of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry and regularly participates in continuing education study groups. She has presented scientific programs before several local Dental Societies and has taken part in the presentation of the California Dental Association Annual Scientific Session.

Dr. Rich recently received the new “Compassionate Dentists Award”, and the County of Orange Certificate of Recognition presented to her by the Orange County Supervisor for her mission of dentistry for the indigent under the auspices of South Orange County Community Services Council. She is dedicated to community service including civic, health, and business group lectures on Updated Cosmetic, Implant and Restorative Dentistry; providing dentistry for the unemployable; volunteer dentistry locally and at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital; and a five year Presidency of the local Relief Society, a worldwide women’s organization dedicated to compassionate service.

To balance professional life with personal, Dr. Rich and her growing family enjoy the great outdoors including walking, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, swimming, running, and golf. Other family pursuits include college, activity in their church as Eagle Scouts, teaching, and serving in various callings. They enjoy concerts, plays, movies, dancing, reading, travel, community service, and especially value spending time with family and friends.
