Dr. Laura Wittenauer is welcoming new patients to her practice of esthetic and comprehensive dentistry. A native of western Kansas, Dr. Laura attended Kansas State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Dentistry. She then attended dental school at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Laura established here dental practice in Lawrence, Kansas where she practiced for eighteen years.
Dr. Laura and her family relocated to Southern California in 2003, to allow her husband to attend the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and complete a residency program in Endodontics.
Dr. Laura’s practice focuses on building relationships with her patients by taking the time to listen to the needs and values of each person and then educate her patients on the best and most conservative treatment to achieve optimum oral health. The most rewarding aspect of her practice is helping special needs children and adults.
Dr. Laura is active in many professional and civic organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. She also enjoys teaching continuing education for dentists at the Dawson Academy where the curriculum focuses on temporomandibular joint treatment, occlusion, treatment planning and esthetics. She is currently serving as a member of the Board of Managers for the California Dental Association which is responsible for the two largest state dental meetings in the country. Dr. Laura is an alumni member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and served as Alumni Advisory Committee chairman for three years with the Kansas Alpha Chapter at the University of Kansas. She also serves as lector and eucharistic minister at her church.
Dr. Laura and her husband Rick, have a daughter Sarah and son Camden. They enjoy participating in activities with their children, attending USC and KU sporting events, working out, running and cooking.
