
Registered Dental Hygienist
Diane Millar, R.D.H., M.A., joined our staff in 1997 as a Dental Hygienist. She is a native Californian and currently resides in Newport Coast. Diane worked as a Registered Dental Assistant prior to becoming a Hygienist. She studied dental hygiene at the West Los Angeles College program and graduated in 1981. She then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science: Health Care at CSULB and graduated in 1995. Afterwards, Diane went to Graduate School at Pepperdine University and completed a Master’s Degree in Education and Psychology in 1999.
Diane worked as a Clinical Instructor at USC for many years teaching Advanced Instrumentation Techniques to Dental Students as well as Graduate Students in Periodontology. Currently, she is an instructor at Cerritos College in the Dental Hygiene Program. Diane also lectures to various Periodontal and Dental Hygiene Societies on Advanced Ergonomic Instrumentation Techniques. Coupled with her lectures, she has given Clinical Seminars to Periodontists and Hygienists on Protective Instrumentation Strategies.
Diane had a book published on Reinforced Periodontal Instrumentation and Ergonomics in 2007.
Diane has a passion for cooking fine cuisine and entertaining guests in her home. She also enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, rock climbing and travel with her husband Mike and daughter, Elaina.
